Discover The Widows Sons
The Widows Sons Masonic Riders Association is a global community of Freemasons and motorcycle enthusiasts. The Widows Sons Masonic Riders Association, or Widows Sons for short, is committed to using the principles of Freemasonry to foster brotherhood and camaraderie. They believe that by coming together and leveraging their skills and knowledge as Freemasons, they can positively impact society. Embracing their motto, "Freemasons first, then Widows Sons," they strive to ride alongside their fraternal brothers, uniting their passion for motorcycling with their dedication to Freemasonry.
Founded in Illinois in 1998 to aid Masonic Widows and Orphans, the Widows Sons have grown into a global organization with over 30,000 members in more than 50 countries across six continents. Many of its members focus on charitable endeavours supporting children, embodying the spirit of service and compassion.
The establishment of Widows Sons Australia in 2022 and its subsequent transformation into Widows Sons Victoria demonstrate the organisation's commitment to aligning with the principles of the United Grand Lodge of Victoria, allowing chapters in other States and Territories to achieve the same. Widows Sons Victoria has not only raised funds for various charitable causes but has also actively engaged in the rituals and activities of Freemasonry. They support Lodges around the state by attending and participating in meetings, degree work, and installations. Additionally, they introduce new members to the craft through their shared love for motorcycling. Their dedication to Freemasonry and the community exemplifies the powerful impact that a united group of individuals can have on the world.
